We love to travel, and Ireland is one of our favorite places to go. And rather than stop there, well, why not go to Scotland also? So we did.
We’ve been to Ireland before (2008 an 2016). This time it was about digging in and finding connections. We met with Terence Dolan of Tullynacross, but also got to have an in-depth conversation with Philip McManus Coratawy, and also a drive along to places behind locked gates.
Being so close to Northern Ireland, we stayed a night in Belfast, visited the Giants Causeway. We could have taken a ferry to Scotland but it was cheaper and faster to drive back to Belfast.
In Scotland we stayed in Edinburgh, rented a car and drive up to Inverness and had a great time in Northern Scotland.
